QUINS PUT TOGETHER A PEERLESS ATTACKING DISPLAY FRONT OF A RECORD CROWD AT THE STOOP TO WIN 62 POINTS TO 0 AGAINST GLOUCESTER HARTPURY

A double from Hooker Davinia Catlin; tries from Heather Cowell, Vickii Cornborough, Jess Breach, Leanne Riley, Jade Konkel, Chloe Butler and Deborah McCormack; a penalty from Ellie Green and a superb defensive display earned the squad an historic win in front of a UK club record crowd of 4,837.

The win provides the side with much-needed momentum as we enter the playoff stages of the 2018/19 Tyrrells Premier 15s.

The match got off to a breathless start with both teams testing each other in attack. On the 14-minute mark, however, Quins broke the deadlock through a try from winger Heather Cowell. With the conversion added by fly-half Ellie Green, Quins led 7-0.

Six minutes later, the hosts went over for their second through prop Vickii Cornborough. With the extras again added by Green, Quins led 14-0.

On 24 minutes, Fullback Emily Scott made a break from behind her own try line and ran up to halfway. After breaking numerous tackles, she offloaded to winger Jess Breach who ran in the try from 40 metres out. With the conversion slotted by Green, Quins led 21-0.

On the 35-minute mark, Green slotted home a penalty to further extend her Quins’ lead to 24 points before Leanne Riley crossed the whitewash for her side’s fourth try a minute later. With the kick nailed by Green, Quins led 31-0.
