HARLEQUINS ARE NOW EIGHT BONUS POINT WINS IN A ROW AND TOP OF THE TYRRELLS PREMIER 15S TABLE
Harlequins Ladies continue their reign at the top of the Tyrrells Premier 15s table with 5-43 win over local rivals Richmond.
Quins now make it eight bonus point wins from eight with seven try thriller that saw Jess Breach score four in the first half.
Harlequins got off to a flying start getting the scoring underway in just under 10 minutes with a pass in play that saw her break through the Richmond defence and dive over the line.
Quins were then penalised for holding on which saw Richmond kick to touch and begin to press at the attacking 22.
A great interception by Jess Breach saw her bolt the length of the pitch to in a dramatic chase which saw Breach get her second in 15 minutes. Wooden converted with all seven points going to Quins. The score now 0-12
Less than five minutes later Breach made it three with Wooden adding the full seven points to the scoreboard.
Just over half an hour on the clock and Jess Breach couldn’t be stopped and added her fourth and final try of the match to her name. Wooden converted and the score was 0-26.
Jess Wooden switched up the scoring adding another try to the score line with just under five minutes to go in the first half.
Harlequins went into the break with a comfortable 0-31 score over the home side.
Quick out the blocks Holly Myers got the scoring underway in the second half with just a minute on the clock as she broke the Richmond defence and raced down the side, adding five points early on.
Richmond then began to press hard and were battling the Quins defence making it a tough task getting out of their own half.
Richmond got themselves off the mark, making the score 5-36 with just over 10 minutes to go.
On 70 minutes replacement winger Georgia Gray rounded off the scoring for Harlequins, with Wooden converted making the final score 5-43 to the visitors.
