AYLESFORD BULLS LADIES QUALIFIED FOR THE FINAL OF THE WOMEN’S PREMIERSHIP FINAL FOR THE FIRST TIME AFTER DEFEATING LICHFIELD 22-15.
Aylesford beat Lichfield 22-15 on Sunday at Cooke Fields and will face Bristol Ladies in the Final on Sunday 23rd April at Sixways Stadium.
Vickii Cornborough scored early for Aylesford from a driving maul before Lichfield hit back through the boot of Emily Scarratt and a penalty try.
Following a Jess Wooden penalty both teams were tied 10-10 at the break.
Lichfield then moved back in front after Jennifer Maxwell went over out wide but Wooden replied with a try of her own.
With the match being played at a frantic pace, Aylesford moved back in front 11 minutes from the end when Manuela Furlan popped up on the wing at the right time to dive over and seal Bulls place in the final.
