Gloucester-Hartpury Women continue their Tyrrells Premier 15s campaign at home to Richmond Women on Saturday (Alpas Arena, kick off 4:30pm) and Head Coach Susie Appleby adds two new faces to her starting line-up from last week.

Returning at fly-half having missed out last weekend at Harlequins is Ireland international Ellen Murphy. Ceri Large moves from 10 to 12 to accommodate her.

Meanwhile, in the pack, Erica Mills comes in to partner Zoe Aldcroft in the second row with Shona Powell-Hughes moving from lock to number eight. Ti Tauasosi is named amongst the replacements.

Also of note in the replacements is the selection of England prop El Perry who is named in the matchday squad for the first time this season.

Gloucester-Hartpury will be looking to get back to winning ways after last Saturday’s defeat at the Stoop, but will be wary of a Richmond side who won their first game of the season last weekend at home to Worcester Warriors Women.

Appleby said today:

“It’s important that we put in a performance and get a result if we’re to stay in touch with the top of the table. We competed well last weekend at Quins, but need to respect possession better.

“Richmond had a difficult start to the season, but they’ll be buoyed by last week’s win, and we’ll have to respect them, take nothing for granted and perform to the best of our ability.

“We’ve kept the core of the team together, but I’m delighted to be able to call upon El Perry for the first team. She’s been sidelined with illness and frustrated not to be able to contribute. But she’ll be looking to make a big impact off the bench.”
