Rachel Law first started playing rugby at the age of 4 at Penicuik Rugby Club.

She carried on playing for Penicuik Rugby Club until Secondary School. She then joined up with Langholm Rugby Club to form an U15s team, which she captained to win the Brewin Dolphin Cup Final.

She then moved to Murrayfield Wanderers to play U18s and then progressed into their senior team before starting University.

She is currently studying Veterinary Medicine at Edinburgh University. In her time at the University, she has helped the Rugby team to both League and Cup wins in the BUCS (British University and Colleges Sport) leagues.

In 2016 she was selected to play for Scotland U20 before moving into the Scottish Futures Programme when that was developed.

She has been in the extended squad for Scotland Women 7s since 2018 and has been involved in Scotland Women Performance Squad since 2019.

In January 2020 she received her first call up for the National side. An injury prevented her from travelling to Spain in the January but she was selected for the travelling squad to play Ireland in the opening Women’s Six Nations match followed by her first call up to the bench for the match against England.
