Bristol Ladies came away with the win today after a tough fixture against Wasps. Four of the girls were out on Welsh regional fixtures, but the England players were back from international duty – so it was changed line-up this afternoon compared to the team that faced Aylesford last week.

Bristol got the ideal start as Philippa Tuttiett scored on 8 minutes, with the conversion slotted neatly through the posts.

Shortly after Wasps were award a penalty to bring the score to 3 – 7.

Tilly Vaughan-Fowler got the next score, with Sue Neumann converting successfully – lead to half time with a scoreline of 3 – 14.

Half time score: Wasps Ladies 3 (penalty) – 14 (2 tries, 2 conversions) Bristol Ladies

A few substitutions happened during the first 10 minutes of the second half, with two replacement props, Kayleigh and Kathryn taking centre stage. The set piece was consistently accurate during the game, and Sydney Gregson make use of this as she went over on 60 minutes.

Wasps started a comeback of their own, getting three tries in the remaining 25 minutes, however an intercept try from Olivia Jones secured the win for Bristol, with the final score 18 – 26.

Final score: Wasps Ladies 18 (3 tries, 1 conversion) – 26 (4 tries, 3 conversions)
