A dominant display at The Portway Rugby Development Centre saw Bristol Ladies put 74 points passed visitors Wasps.

12 tries and 7 conversions saw Bristol coast through this fixture with the girls showing excellent discipline and composure throughout.

The game started well for the hosts, with a strong scrum allowing Sarah Hunter to cross the try line after 5 minutes. The scrum proved to be a highlight of Bristol’s game this afternoon, as the referee awarded a penalty try after another dominant display by the Bristol pack.

Wasps scored their only points of the game shortly after with a quick tap penalty and quick hands sending Sarah Michelson across the whitewash.

Efforts by Sydney Gregson, Chantelle Meill (2) with two successful conversion by Amber Reed saw Bristol enter the half time break with 29 points, with Wasps being able to cross the Bristol try line only once.

Half time score: 29 (5 tries, 2 conversions) -7 (1 try, 1 conversion)

Bristol maintained the pressure in the second half, with Hunter and then Reed adding to the try total in quick succession. On 53 minutes, Daisy Travers scored her first try in a Bristol shirt, followed by more tries by Claire Molloy, Katie Mason and Olivia Jones, with Chantelle Meill completing her hattrick.

The final score ended 74 – 7 with Bristol keeping Wasps from scoring for all of the second half.
