Watching rugby on TV inspired Lark Davies to take up the game aged 10 at Orleton Primary School in Shropshire before she moved on to Wigmore High School, Ludlow College and the University of Worcester.
Lark was awarded an England contract in January 2019 and renewed for the 2019-20 campaign. Her international breakthrough came for the U20 side, for which she made eight appearances. She also became captain of the Worcester Valkyries (now Warriors) for the inaugural Tyrrells Premier 15s season in September 2017, a role she continued in 2018-19. Lark made her first international start against Italy in the 2018 Women’s Six Nations, her 10th cap overall. She then scored twice in England’s 27-19 win over Canada at Doncaster’s Castle Park in 2018. In 2019 she featured in every game of the Women’s Six Nations, and scored two tries, as the Red Roses won the Grand Slam.
She featured for the Red Roses at last summer’s Super Series and joined Sarah Hunter, Katy Daley-McLean and Emily Scarratt at Loughborough Lightning. She has played in three matches in the 2020 Women’s Six Nations.
