Helena lists winning the Tyrrells Premier 15s title with Saracens in 2018 among her career highlights to date. However, ahead of the 2018-19 season, she turned her attentions to full-time sevens.
Accolades to date include leading Welwyn U15 to the nations sevens title, winning Gold at the 2016 School Games for the South East team, and representing England to win the U18 European Championships. Helena began her rugby career aged six at Aylesbury RFC, before playing at both Tring and Bicester RFC. Her mother Lisa represented her county at athletics and her brother Dan played rugby for Bath University first 15, Wasps U18 and Esher first 15. She overcame a fractured tibia which left her sidelined for six months in 2016, returning in time for the successful School Games bid.
She represented England U20s in their three games at the start of 2018 and attributes Saracens head coach Alex Austerberry for giving her an understanding of the game during his time as RFU Women’s Performance Pathway Officer. Helena is a key squad member and currently has five tries in 13 World Series matches.
